Privacy Policy

What we collect

Nothing.

LuSID Synthesizer does not collect, transmit, or share any personal information, device identifiers, usage analytics, location data, contacts, payments, or any other data about you or your device. The app contains no tracking technologies, no advertising identifiers, and no third-party analytics SDKs.

Local data on your device

Audio recordings you create with the Record tab are saved exclusively to LuSID's private Documents directory on your device. They are visible to you in the iOS Files app under On My iPhone → LuSID Synthesizer. They are never transmitted off-device by the app. You control sharing entirely — when you tap Share, the iOS share sheet hands the file to whichever destination you choose (Files, AirDrop, Messages, Mail, etc.); LuSID itself transmits nothing.

Required Reason API declaration

In compliance with Apple's privacy manifest requirements, LuSID's bundled PrivacyInfo.xcprivacy declares one Required Reason API:

Network access

LuSID makes no network requests. The app does not connect to any servers, APIs, CDNs, or third-party services at any time. The only data path off-device is when you explicitly share a recording via the iOS share sheet.

Tracking

LuSID does not track you. The app does not present an App Tracking Transparency (ATT) prompt because no tracking takes place — Apple's guidelines reject apps that show ATT prompts unnecessarily, and we comply.

Children's privacy

LuSID does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects nothing, it complies with COPPA by design.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the new version will replace this page at the same URL. Material changes will be highlighted in the app's release notes.
