Common questions
Audio is silent.
Check the Volume knob (bottom of every tab) is above 0%, the iPhone hardware volume is up, and the device's silent switch isn't blocking media playback. If sound still doesn't return, force-quit the app and relaunch it.
How do I record?
Open the Record tab. Tap the big magenta button to start; recording auto-stops at the duration set on the knob below (default 20 seconds). Once a recording exists, the Last Recording card shows a Share button — tap it to AirDrop, save to Files, attach to a message, or hand the file to any other app.
How do I play a chord on the keyboard?
Press multiple keys with multiple fingers — up to eight notes can sound simultaneously. You can also slide a finger across keys to play notes successively without lifting; each key fires the moment your finger crosses its boundary.
How do I make the synth sound fatter?
On the Synth tab, find the Unison card. Set Voices to 4 or higher, Detune to around 12-20 cents, and Spread to about 0.7. Pair with the Chorus card (Mix around 30%) and a touch of Distortion for the classic supersaw character.
Where are my recordings stored?
In LuSID's Documents directory, accessible via the iOS Files app under On My iPhone → LuSID Synthesizer. Recordings are private to LuSID and never transmitted off-device by the app.
Will there be more features?
The current LuSID Synthesizer is the free version and is feature-complete. A future paid tier will add multi-pattern simultaneous playback for layered compositions; the free version will continue to receive bug fixes but no major feature expansion.
